The video recording of CEC webinar on “Vaccination – Curse or blessing? A spiritual and theological approach to COVID-19 vaccination” is now available on CEC channels.
The webinar held on 18 February explored current state of scientific knowledge regarding COVID-19 vaccination from ethical Christian perspective. The webinar provided fact-based information and insights to churches and society, addressing issues of scepticism and conspiracy theories.
Among the speakers were Rev. Prof. Gina Radford, Former Deputy Chief Medical Officer of National Health Service UK, Prof. Gayle Woloschak, Professor of Radiation Oncology and Religion and Science, Chicago, Dr John J.L. Jacobs, Immunologist, Medical Data Scientist and Prof. Dr Ulrich H.J. Körtner, Institute for Systematic Theology at the University of Vienna.
The discussion was moderated by Professor Julija Vidovic from St Sergius Orthodox Theological Institute in Paris and Dr Brendan Mc Carthy, Church of England’s National Adviser on Medical Ethics and Health and Social Care Policy.
The online event was attended by around hundred participants, and was organised by CEC Thematic Group on Science, New Technologies and Christian Ethics.
