The Church and Society Commission (now merged with CEC) and the Commission of the Bishops' Conferences of the European Community (COMECE) have made a proposal for the implementation of Article 17 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. The proposal details a vision for "open, transparent and regular dialogue" between churches and the EU institutions.
