CEC General Secretary Fr Heikki Huttunen participated recently in an international conference on "Religion and nationalism, theological reflections" held in Moscow. In his presentation he spoke about the experience of majority and minority from the perspectives of European churches.

The seminar was organised by Biblical Theological Institute of St. Andrew the Apostle, the Free University of Amsterdam, and the Pokrovskie Vorota Cultural Centre from 13 to 14 December 2018.

Themes such as nationalism as a theological, political and spiritual challenge were discussed in detail from the point of view of Catholic, Islamic, Protestant and Orthodox theology. Participants from theological and ecclesial institutions in several Eastern and Western European countries attended the seminar.
