The CEC President Rev. Christian Krieger, CEC Governing Board Member Very Rev. Archimandrite Nektarios Ioannou and CEC Executive Secretary for Theological Dialogue Katerina Pekridou met with Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium on 18 September in Brussels.
Together they discussed the upcoming visit of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Belgium.
The Ecumenical Patriarch will be visiting Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg from 5 to 13 November 2019 as part of the celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of the Orthodox Archdiocese of Belgium and Exarchate of the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Since the foundation of the Orthodox Archdiocese, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew's visit to the Metropolis will be the first visit after 25 years.
