The Conference of European Churches (CEC) will hold its Annual Meeting of the Ecumenical Secretaries from 20 to 22 October 2026 in Prague, Czechia, under the theme Europe and churches in a changing world.

The meeting will bring together ecumenical secretaries of CEC Member Churches to reflect on the profound political, social, and theological changes shaping Europe and the wider world. It will explore how churches can respond to emerging challenges and contribute to a shared future.

The programme will include sessions on churches’ experiences in responding to current developments, theological reflections on global transformations, dialogue with political actors, and strengthening cooperation among churches and partners.

Participants will also discuss the reception of the updated Charta Oecumenica and consider recent developments in the life and work of CEC.

The meeting is organised in cooperation with the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren.
